NATURE'S PHARMACY

Several years ago, when I still lived permanently in Thessaloniki, I used to shop at this pharmacy because it was close to the neighborhood and one of the first contracts with Cashback benefits.

Over the years and moving to Athens, I had not visited it. 2 months ago I started a new cycle with an alternative holistic approach and they suggested I get the preparations from nature's pharmacy.

The day before yesterday I was in Thessaloniki and for the 2nd cycle I started I ordered from there again. And I went to get them myself this time since I was in the neighborhood.

Apart from the excellent set up of the store and the friendly service of the employees, when at some point there was an issue with the invoice and some discounts the businessman himself came. A key characteristic of a good entrepreneur is to listen carefully to the customer. Which he did and to his credit he admitted that the approach they had as a pricing policy was not correct and we agreed on how it will be done from then on.

But what happened next is the reason I am writing. In a friendly mood we continued the discussion about Covid, the market, finances and where the situation seems to be headed. I then learned that he is a 3rd generation pharmacist and he described to me the excellent culture he has received from his family which was evident throughout the business.

At one point when I asked him about the preparation of homeopathic and various other preparations, he suggested let's go down together to the basement and show me the laboratory. And there I saw something unique...

The standard pharmacy laboratory (clean room), Physis Laboratory, is one of the most modern and high-standard laboratories in Europe. It operates according to the European GPP (Good Preparation Practices) Standards and is the first laboratory in Greece to be certified according to the standard ISO 9001:2008. A place with unique levels of protection, prevention, cleanliness where it specializes in the preparation of galenic and homeopathic preparations.

And all this in a basement somewhere on the 25th of March in Thessaloniki.

It was the icing on the cake when I saw in the preparation room in full medical gear one of his 2 daughters (high school) totally focused on making something. When I asked him what he does, he replied that he does "encapsulation" which is one of the most difficult and patient procedures that his daughter loves and does for hours when she doesn't have school. Without ever asking her.

We were there 10 minutes in the basement and the girl he didn't even look up after he had greeted us first. Enjoying what you do and doing it focused it's a skill that at this age is one of the strongest life supplies...

They made all this investment during the (now previous) crisis. Because they love what they do and want to improve it.

New technologies, high quality and years of experience!
This, he confided to me, is the triptych which forms the basis of the philosophy of nature's pharmacy.
