In life we always have too many choices.

THE CHOICES

In life we always have too many choices.
Even when we do things we take for granted, like receiving birthday wishes, we have so many choices.

Should I pick up the phone or not?
If I will return a missed call.
Whether I will reply to messages on social media or not.
Should I reply personally or en masse.
If I will be misunderstood for anyone who forgot me.
If I will have my birthday open on social media.
And I can write so many more options.

Just as it is my choice to turn the spotlight on this special, for each person, day.

This morning, maybe the first time since we've been 4 as a family, all 4 of us woke up together in bed.

It is one of those things that "happen" sometimes.
At another time I will talk about the enormous importance of 2 partners being able to work together harmoniously when they have 1, 2 or as many children...
In matters of sleep, waking, financial, professional, domestic and many other things.

This year is the first year that my "big" daughter speaks normally and has been singing "long live daddy and happy birthday" to me non-stop since morning.
Anyone who has heard her little voice can understand.

This is the first year that there are 4 of us.

This year I choose the spotlight to fall on these 3 souls who light my way.
I was for many years a closed person, a technocrat, always successful in everything I did, dedicated to every occupation having small and big successes.

What was missing was one of the most basic ingredients of happiness. I won't say what it is.

Happiness is being able to enjoy success, as has been very rightly said, and I have rarely done that in my life…

Happiness is having these 3 creatures in your arms.
Happiness is to be sleepless some nights because they need you and have a seminar the next day with 100 or so people.
Happiness is being in a very serious meeting and interrupting because the only "red" line is ringing, that of the family.
Happiness is waking up in the morning and smelling Dioni sleeping as you take her in your arms to take her out on the couch with you.
Happiness is when Nefeli says "good morning daddy".
Happiness is when Leoni tells you "you are our hero".

The spotlight this year I choose to be on these 3 souls who chose to be teammates in the most beautiful game, the game of life...

Thank you, love, thank you.
